Please help with the identification of this heavy, bronze item. It may be African. It looks like a ceremonial piece. 9 inches long.
Is this a leopard and cub symbol? I believe I''ve seen a similar symbol in a museum. Is it a replica, how can you tell if so?

Probably African, Benin / Nigeria West Afrika region … not sure about it's age but i would look into bonzes from west afrika.
